Configuring Default Responses for unanswered Question on Public Assessments

Navigate to the assessment template and click the checkbox Create Default Responses. This will add a field to the question template level that will allow you to input a text response. 

Now that you have enabled default responses you can navigate to the ExAM Command Console and access the template that you are adding default values to.

Once you are on the template in the exam command console you will click into the Options tab of the question you are adding the default response to and input that value in the Default Value field.

At this point you have successfully configured a question to record a designated default value if the end user fails to input a response. You can continue through the questions on your assessment template and configure the default values based on your use case.
