The first step in setting up a public site is you must click on the “setup” button, which will be located at the top right of the screen. This will redirect you to another page.
On this page, you will need to enter in “Site” into the Quick Find/ Search Box. This box is located on the left side of the screen.
After you have entered “Site” a drop-down pick list will appear and the option of Sites will be displayed under the Build develop tab. You will click on the Sites button. This will take you to another page with the header Sites.
On this page, there will be an open text box where you are able to enter in and create your Force.com domain. It is recommended that it is the same as your original one for continuity sake. After entering in the desired input you will click the Check Availability button and if it is available it will be generated.
Now that you have generated a Force.com domain you are able to create a Public Site. In order to do that on the same page, there will be “New” button, you will click it.
This will bring you to a screen where you are able to create a Site label. This can be whatever you desire it to be, for example, it could be Survey, Assess, Customer, or whatever you see fits.
You will also be able to create a default web address for this public site and that can be customized how you see fit.
Other fields that may be checked or filled in will consist of Active with a checkbox next to it, you will want to click that to be checked
Then in the Active Site Home page text box, you will want to click the magnifying glass next to the empty text box in order to search for PublicAssessmentPage and select it.
Adjust Clickjack protection level to allow framing by any page.
After you have selected PublicAssesmentPage you will click the Save button.
You have now created a new Public Site that can be used for the desired purpose.
